Mississauga mayor celebrates Tamil Heritage Month

Misssisauga Mayor officially recognized Tamil Heritage Month in a statement.

The celebration takes place every January.

“Tamil Heritage Month is an opportunity to remember and reflect on the important economic, charitable, community, and public service contributions that Tamil Canadians have made to cities like Mississauga,” said Mayor Bonnie Crombie.

“For all Mississaugans and Canadians, Tamil Heritage Month is also an opportunity to experience, appreciate and learn more about the rich history and culture of the broader Tamil community.
