On September 7th, 2013, CASSA (Council of Agencies Serving South Asians) is hosting its second annual Toronto Mela 2013, a South Asian Summer Festival at Albert Campbell Square near Scarborough Town Center from 2 pm. to 9 pm. This is a unique and free South Asian festival in Scarborough that brings the diversity within South Asians together. On the day of the event, more than 2000 people are expected to gather and rejoice the contributions and achievements of South Asians to the broader Canadian Society. There are thirty-two vendors that are setting up booths to promote their unique products and services. Last but not least, in order to entertain the attendees, more than 50 artists are performing varieties of South Asian pieces. There will be free play area and arts and crafts activities for children as well. Thus, please come enjoy with your family a day filled with fun and entertainment for you and your kids.
