Thousands attend South Asian Mela

Last Saturday’s South Asian Mela was a success despite the rainy weather as thousands thronged Albert Campbell Square in Scarborough to enjoy cuisine and ethnic performances from the Indian subcontinent, said the organizers Council of Agencies Serving South Asians (CASSA).
The agency with the support of City of Toronto welcomed two thousand guests and over 50 artists in the city representing various backgrounds in South Asian culture.

CASSA is an umbrella organization that supports and advocates on behalf of existing as well as emerging South Asian agencies, groups, and communities in order to address their diverse and dynamic needs.
