North America’s largest South Asian marketplace will be transformed this weekend with cultural shows, music, and food from 30 restaurants and bargains from the retailers who line Garrard Street synonymous for the little piece of the Indian subcontinent in the heart of downtown Toronto.
TD Festival of South Asia Festival of South Asia will take place on Gerrard Street East, between Coxwell Avenue and Greenwood Avenue on Saturday and Sunday.
“TD is thrilled to be a part of the annual Festival of South Asia,” says Manjit Singh, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Canadian Retail, TD Bank Group. “Supporting this great event is part of our broader commitment to diversity and inclusion and building the communities where our employees and customers live, work and play.”
According organizers it is among the longest running street festivals in Ontario with 250,00 visitors attending each year.
