Sunil Handunnetti, Member of Parliament, Ramalingam Chandrasekeran former Member of Parliament Jaffna District JVP organiser were guest of honour at the inauguration of the ‘Ethera Api’ Organisation Canada branch General Assembly and Cultural Show held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Toronto.

Mr. Handunnetti gave away the trophies to artists, journalists and others which was followed by a beautiful cultural show where Sri Lankan artists performed. Renowned artistes Lina de Silva and Ajith Jinadasa received awards while the award for great musician Premasiri Kemadasa was received by his widow. Veteran Sri Lankan journalist Srimal Abeyewardene, Editor of The Sri Lanka Reporter was also presented an award. President Upul Karunarathne presided over the ceremony.
