Chaminda Walpola and Preetysha rekindle musical memories

Here in Toronto it was the first time performance for Chaminda Walpola and his Indian-born wife Preetysha the youngest son of late Dharmadasa and Latha Walpola. For most of us it was a shock to here the identical voices of Dharmadasa and Latha. There was no question they matched the voices of the famous singing couple of Sri Lanka.

The fabulous part of it was Latha Walpola’s Indian daughter-in-law Preetysha matched her voice and went on to show that she was not second to the famous Indian stars Lata Mangeshkar and her sister Asha Bhosle.

The private concert was held in Toronto celebrate Sudesh Muthu’s birthday. Muthu holds the record for world’s longest dreadlocks.
Chaminda Walpola is a versatile Artist, Composer, Guitarist, Music Programmer and Recording Engineer who resides with his wife Preetysha in California.
