They discussed the strong people-to-people ties between Canada and Sri Lanka, Canadian support for peace and reconciliation efforts in Sri Lanka, strength in diversity using the contribution of Canadians of Sri Lankan descent as an example, and prospects for deepening investments/trade and development cooperation between the two countries,” Brianne Maxwell, Spokesperson for Global Affairs Canada.
