The Sri Lanka Consulate General in Toronto hosted a celebration to mark 150th anniversary of the Ceylon Tea industry. The Global Tea Party was hosted by Sri Lanka Missions and Posts all over the world.
The Toronto Ceylon Tea Party was held at Chandni Grand Banquet Hall.
Sri Lanka Consul General ULM Jahur and City of Markham Mayor Frank Scarpetti light the traditional oil lamp.
