The Anglican Bishop of Colombo Sri Lanka Rt. Rev. Dhiloraj Canagasabey currently visiting Canada will co-host a ‘Festival of Praise and Thanksgiving’ with Rev. Canon Peter Walker at Grace Church On-The-Hill on 300 Lonsdale Avenue in Toronto this evening at 7pm.
Organizers say the event is free and open to the public and there will be a there will be an offering taken to support the ministry initiatives of the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The evening will open with the “Hymn for Ceylon” sung in all three languages.
Multiple alumni schools will participate in musical performances including The Jaffna College/Uduvil Girls’ College Alumni Choir Toronto, Choir of St. Margaret’s Tamil Anglican Church Toronto, Choir of Tamil Christian Church of Canada Toronto, St. John’s College/Chundikuli Girls’ College Alumni Choir Toronto, The Toronto Eagle Chorus, St. Thomas’ College Mt Lavinia and Trinity College, Kandy will be represented.
