Pahuna (Little Visitors), Produced by Priyanka Chopra’s Purple Pebble Production Company had its premiere at The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) last September. This Sikkimese short film received non-stop applause from the audience and ended up with standing ovation. The film about children rights which highlights refugee crisis and religion conversion received massive global response. Producer, Priyanka Chopra thanked Cameron Bailey, Artistic Director of The Toronto International Film Festival for giving her the opportunity to share her story with the global audience.
The story of Little Visitors (Pahuna) unfolds a story about Nepalese siblings who got separated from their parents while entering the Indian state. This heart warming story shows how those two siblings had to rely on each other to survive.
Director wonderfully highlights the Charming, unspoiled natural beauty of the Northeastern state of India. Priyanka says she wanted to put a spot light to Northeast state which has been neglected.
Producer, Priyanka Chopra who wore the crown as Miss World in year 2000 walked on the red carpet with her mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra, co-producer and the director, Pakhi Tyrewala on the red carpet.
Pahuna (Little Visitors) is the first film produced in Sikkimese language in India. It will be dubbed in Hindi too.
