The Canada Sri Lanka Women’s Association marked International Women’s Day at a special event held at Toronto Maha Vihara recently. The official program was followed by a ‘Gilanpasa Pooja’.
Formed in 2009, the Canada Sri Lanka Women’s Association (CSLWA) is committed to promote and coordinate fellowship among the Sri Lankan women irrespective of ethnicity with goals to enrich the multicultural mosaic of Canada.
The association was also working on service towards the growing population of seniors in the community. Recently, the CSLWA had organized special day trips for points of interest in Southern Ontario and special day to honour elders in the community.
