Rohana Baddage visits Canada to celebrate Sinhalese language day

Sri Lankan singer, music director and teacher Rohana Baddage was the chief guest of Basaka Waruna 2013 in Toronto, Ontario recently.  The third annual event celebrated Sinhalese Language Day in Canada.

Mr. Baddage’s  ‘Sasanda’ song was featured on Los Angeles World Chart Show in 1996. It went into the top 20 and was the only song selected from Asia. During that year, the song was played in 240 countries.
