Sri Lankans Without Borders invited young professionals and SLWB well-wishers to a private Sunday brunch with Canadian Minister of Immigration and Multiculturalism Jason Kenney in June at St. Lawrence Market in Toronto.

This was an invitation only event with limited seating to ensure an intimate interactive session.

Minister Kenney prepares some hoppers, and decided to add Canadian maple syrup to his recipe, while Chandrika Tilakaratne looks on.

The breakfast discussion was followed by an Interactive Team Cooking Lesson inspired by Sri Lankan Culinary Arts where teams worked together to prepare brunch. In an effort to facilitate dialogue via creative artistic forms, Sri Lankans Without Borders put together this unique series for those who enjoy exploring Sri Lanka’s Culinary Culture.
